  2. And about the saying “entre chien et loup” it goes back to the middle ages, where wolves roamed France. Dogs came in at sunset and wolves started to come out of the woods at night. So that’s one reason for the phrase “between dog and wolf”. The other reason which I’m sure you’ll appreciate was the light. At sunset, colours start to become confused, and at a distance, at sunset, it became hard to tell a dog from a wolf…
